About Kananaskis Mountain Helicopters
Kananaskis Mountain Helicopters opened its door in 1994. In 1999 Icefield Helicopter Tours-Icefieldheli.com -was created & later in 2009 Kananaskis Heli Tours-kheli.com- was started allowing tourism to be our core business. Adding to the core business of tourism, the development of commercial work gave us total diversification fo the business.
The management team has focused on continued tourism and commercial work without sacrificing safety. A corporate philosophy based on safety, pilot and engineer training, and a Safety Management System will ensure a safe and profitable position.
The construction of a permanent hangar as our maintenance facility has enhanced our quality assurance program.
Being located in two of Alberta's forests and the hangar being centrally located between Calgary and Banff allows us to attract quality full time staff. Combining this with our mentoring program for the tour pilots also allowed us to hire some of the most dynamic tour pilots available.
